In the spotlight

This year we have been fortunate enough to be named as a recipient of one of the grants made available by the Australian Government and the Local Schools Community Fund. The Australian Government is providing $30.2 million in 2019–20 for the Local Schools Community Fund (the Fund).

The Fund was an application-based process open to all eligible schools, Government, Catholic and Independent, designed to benefit students and their school community by contributing to small scale projects and their associated costs at the local school level.

We have received $20,000 which we will be using to continue and enhance our current ‘Wrap Around Service’ run through our Special Education department. Funds will be used for costs to cover occupational therapy, speech therapy, paediatrician fees and a new counselling service, for the next 12 months.

We are extremely appreciative to have received this grant and to the team that work tirelessly in our Special Education department.
