Inspiring Creativity and Expression
At Alawa Primary School, we believe the Arts are essential to a well-rounded education. They allow students to explore creativity, build confidence and express themselves in ways that complement academic learning.
Our Program
The Arts program at Alawa is dynamic and engaging, giving students the opportunity to explore different art forms across the year:
Semester 1
Visual Arts
Students develop skills in drawing, painting, sculpture and mixed media projects. They learn to experiment with materials, express their ideas visually and celebrate creativity through classroom displays and exhibitions.
Semester 2
Performing Arts and Media Arts
Students explore music, drama, dance and digital media. They gain confidence performing in front of others, develop storytelling and communication skills and discover creative ways to share messages through media.
Whole School Performance Night
A highlight of the year is our Whole School Performance in Term 3, where every class takes to the stage. This much-loved event showcases the skills students have developed in the Arts and celebrates their confidence, teamwork and creativity in front of families and the wider school community.

At Alawa, we see the Arts as a pathway to developing resilient, expressive and creative learners who are prepared for the future.
