Instructional Model

Alawa Primary School has an Instructional Model which guides teachers in planning and offers consistent language and clear expectations across year levels and learning areas in the school.



At its centre, the Instructional Model aims to provide 21st Century Learning to all Alawa Primary School students. The Alawa Values, ALLE Tools, Data, Partnerships, Student Voice, and Inquiry are important elements which impact on all teaching and learning. Teachers use the Phases of Teaching and Learning to structure their lessons and units of work consistently and according to evidence based best practice.
