For Parents
Why Volunteers Matter
At Alawa Primary School, we deeply value our volunteers. Your time, energy and skills enrich our programs and create opportunities for students that would not be possible without your support. We thank all current and past volunteers who have made a difference in our community.

Volunteer Opportunities
There are many ways to get involved throughout the school year, including:
Farm working bees
Whole School Performance Night
Sports Day
Fundraising events
Preschool fundraising activities
Mother’s Day and Father’s Day stalls
School camps
Whether it’s a one-off event or ongoing support, every contribution makes a difference.
Ochre Card (Working with Children Clearance)
During school hour activities all volunteers must hold a valid Ochre Card (Working with Children Clearance), as required by NT Government legislation. If you don’t yet have one, information on how to apply can be found on the NT Government Ochre Card page.
