Growing Healthy, Active and Confident Learners

At Alawa Primary School, we believe in helping every child grow strong, confident, and healthy—both physically and emotionally.

Transition to Year 2 students take part in the KIDDO program, which builds physical literacy and teaches important movement skills in a fun and active way.

Years 1 to 6 have weekly physical activity lessons that focus on movement, teamwork, and strategies across different sports and games.

Health lessons are taught weekly across all year levels, following the Keeping Safe Curriculum, the Australian Curriculum and ALLE’s Tools to support student wellbeing.

Every student from Preschool to Year 6 also participates in the Swim and Survive program, run in partnership with Royal Life Saving NT, helping them learn vital water safety skills.
